Rescue Remedy is a combination of five Bach Flower Essences. It is taken from a dropper bottle/spray bottle and placed directly on the tongue or can be added to a beverage that you sip on. It is known for its calming, grounding effect and ability to head off panic attacks. Flower essences are vibrational in nature and perfectly safe for everyone—pregnant and breastfeeding mamas, doulas, children, pets, the dying … everyone! designed to combat fear, panic, shock, trauma, stress, and fear of losing control, as well as labor pains may also be prescribed for the few days prior to labor, particularly if you’re feeling anxious, or fearful about labor.
Doula
Birth doulas are amazing for helping you understand labor, cope with the discomforts, and support you emotionally. Each doula is different, but I highly recommend that every woman has one! Even if your spouse is super helpful, it really helps having someone knowledgeable about birth, and to help you AND your spouse through every moment of labor.
Grace Sinclair was my doula, and her hip squeezes were life-saving! She also used oils on me throughout my labor, and made me the Labor-aide and encouraged me to drink often.
Jenn Baker is another great option in the Mansfield area.
Hydrotherapy- Hydrotherapy, or immersion in warm water during labor, can be used for comfort and pain relief during any stage of labor. Some say that hydrotherapy can also lead to shorter labor, less severe perineal trauma, and lower risk of hemorrhage
